Shuffle
What is shuffle?
Shuffle is a random chat feature that pairs two aliens together for spontaneous, anonymous conversations. It’s a great way to meet new people, explore diverse perspectives, or simply have fun.
How does it work?
When you enter Shuffle Mode, a new room is automatically created for the conversation. Here's what happens:
Room Creation:
When you tap the Shuffle button, A String creates a temporary chat room.
This room is private and accessible only to the two participants (you and your match).
If no match is found immediately, the room remains open until another user enters Shuffle and is paired with you.
Matching Process:
Once a match is found, both users are placed into the same room, and the conversation begins.
Room Persistence:
Free Users: The room will automatically close after 30 minutes of inactivity. If both users stop chatting, the room detaches, and neither user can re-enter unless they shuffle again.
Premium Users: Premium users have the option to keep the room open indefinitely, even if there’s no activity. This allows for more flexible and persistent connections.
Ending the Chat:
You can end the chat at any time by tapping the End Chat button.
Once the chat ends, the room is closed, and you can either leave Shuffle Mode or tap Shuffle Again to find a new match.
Key benefits
Serendipitous Connections: Meet people you wouldn’t normally encounter.
No Pressure: Conversations are fleeting and anonymous, so there’s no obligation to continue.
